What Is AI Slop, Actually?
"AI slop" is sameness, not volume: content that is not wrong, just clearly not decided about. Posting less does not fix it. Deciding something different each time does.
Eleven pieces of junk mail go in the trash unopened. You knew from the envelope, without reading a word. That's the same test people apply to content now.
Slop is sameness, not volume
Channels that post daily aren't automatically penalized, plenty do and nothing happens. What gets flagged is content where the hundredth piece and the first are functionally the same: same shape, same open, same ending. It's a different failure than the five patterns that get channels removed.
The uncomfortable test
Put your last ten posts side by side and cover the topics. If you can't tell them apart from the shape alone, neither can anyone reading them, and neither can the platform deciding whether to show them further.
The fix is a decision, not a schedule change
Posting less doesn't address sameness, it just produces less of the same thing. The fix is deciding something specific and different each time: a different opener, a different angle, a different thing cut.
