Cookie Policy

The short version

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in to a portal and to understand how people find hirepitl.com from Pinterest and other platforms, so we can measure what's working and reach people who've already shown interest. We don't sell your information, and we don't use cookies to build a profile of you beyond that.

What cookies we use

• Authentication cookies (essential): when you sign in to a portal, a secure session cookie keeps you logged in as you move between pages. These are required for the portals to work and can't be turned off if you want to stay signed in.
• Pinterest tag: we run the Pinterest tag on hirepitl.com to see which visits and conversions come from Pinterest, and to build retargeting audiences of people who've visited the site. It can set cookies and load a small tracking pixel.
• Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok pixels: we may also run a retargeting pixel for Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, or TikTok, the same idea as the Pinterest tag above, for whichever of those platforms we're actively running ads or content on. Each one only loads once we've configured it for that platform.

Third-party cookies

Pinterest (operated by Pinterest, Inc.) may set cookies or use similar technology through the tag described above to measure conversions and build retargeting audiences. Pinterest's use of this data is governed by the Pinterest Privacy Policy. You can control ad personalization directly with Pinterest through their ad settings.

The same applies to whichever of Meta, LinkedIn, or TikTok we have active: each is governed by that platform's own privacy policy (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok), and each platform gives you your own ad-personalization controls directly.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you clear or block cookies from their settings, and Pinterest gives you direct controls over ad personalization at the link above. Blocking the authentication cookie will prevent you from staying signed in to a portal, but won't affect your ability to browse the public site.

Changes to this policy

If we add more tracking or advertising cookies, we'll update this policy first and add a consent option where the law requires it.
